“Our jobs have replaced family, neighbourhood, civic affairs, church and even mates as our primary allegiance, our primary source of love and site of self expression.”Dominguez and Robin observed In “Your Money or Your Life”.

Time or money? What do people want more of? Generally speaking, it is more time that most people seek, not money. Research and surveys have indicated that many people actually feel as though they have been held hostage to their jobs. Many of them would be willing to work four days a week instead of five or more to have more time for themselves and less money.

This is the ultimate price of so called success. Do you think you have less time than you did a few years back? Many think so too. For in the quest to earn more money, we have exchanged too much too for it and forsaken the time to do the things that really matter in our lives. Spending time with the company of friends and family, having adventures, going to the cinema, having some “me” time and things that fulfil us. Leisure is not an elective module, it is part of our lives.

What do you think? Would you rather have more time or money?
