Maynas Eric Thinking

LifeHackers are often unreasonable because they think they know the future and many of us have obsessive natures. Are you one of us?

Most of us are often uncertain and confused (although seldom admitted) about what the future might hold, while LifeHackers brim with overwhelming confidence about because of what they envision will happen.

Where does this confidence come from? Some may ask. No one can predict the future…can they?

The LifeHacker is confident of what the future might hold because they believe that the best way to predict the future is to create it and the best way to create things is to build up momentum. I would imagine that my way of life is similar to many who find themselves to be LifeHackers too, many of my best works came by when I enter into a trance like state whereby I go into what psychology have termed as “Flow”. The intense concentration of doing something that time does not exist, relatively speaking, only the work at hand does.

People like me don’t do things in bits and pieces if we want the best results. People like us enter into a state of “flow” and while in the trance, we just allow our brain to work sub-consciously to dig up whatever we have learnt from the past. I keep a personal library in my home which consists of hundreds of books and I admit to having an obsessive nature, devouring 2 or 3 books in a day, writing, post it and highlighting them all over.

People like us…are unreasonable…that is why we are termed “The LifeHackers”…we start and finish things because we want to enjoy the process and to savage the delightfulness of the ending…of a work well done and fully accomplished.

and…

The LifeHackers do not like lukewarm efforts.

Do you think you are unreasonable and obsessive?  Here’s a shortcut to find out. If you just bought a DVD drama which consists of 20 one hour episodes, do you watch one each day or devour all 20 at one or two sittings, not twenty days…if you watch them all at one or two sittings, welcome to The LifeHackers World, welcome to my World.

The reason why I choose to watch one whole series at one go is because by letting the story flow from one episode to the next continuously, thus, at the end of the show, our brain can much better absorb the main storyline and grab the lessons from them for our use, rather than an hour each day but the constant interruptions of daily life of twenty days which is bound to confuse our brains and render such information input in a blurred and corrupted form.

This is the LifeHackers tip to research and studying which I will further elaborate in later chapters.
