#Fixreplies #TwitterFail Tweeting in a Cage

Original Image Source
Suddenly, the World became a much quieter place. No, it’s not you, it’s “just” a small settings update by Twitter in action today.
In the words of Marshall from ReadWriteWeb …“users no longer see public replies sent by friends to people they themselves are not following. (Fragmented conversations, they are called.) This isn’t a small change at all, it’s big and it’s bad. The new setting eliminates serendipitous social discovery.”
The changes sound small, right? Yes, it is indeed a small change, it’s just that we can’t see Tweets …

Chair which costs 9000 dollars plus

Went out on a family outing just now and we were trying out these $9000 plus (almost $10,000) massage armchairs (one each). These chairs are kinda cool, not only do they look nice but are actually very comfortable to sit in. The massage functions were not bad too.
The last massage armchair we got was only about 1/3 the price of this one, is it worth 3 times more for this one? I don’t really think so. Here’s why:
They are luxury items and I’m more on the frugal side.
I don’t really …

As I took a bus (I don’t drive in Singapore) on the way to a game of tennis, I realized that within the 15 minutes journey, I only saw about 3 familiar landmarks. McDonalds, KFC, and the neighborhood library. As I stepped out the bus, I thought, hmmm, what were the names of the other stalls along the way…I couldn’t come out with a good answer. I knew that there were 2 furniture stalls, 2 coffee stalls and some other amenities but I didn’t know their store names. They were …

The Most Important People in The World

Who are the most important people in the World?
Storytellers.
I do not use the word “most” often as it’s ambiguous sometimes when referring to unprovable terms. Who the most important people are is never going to be provable. So why “most?” Because it’s disagreeable and so is the rest of the entry not highlighted in yellow, and now, we have just created a story of yellows and non-yellows. *Winks*
What would the world be if no one wrote an account of what happened in the past?
What if Socrates did …

Advertisements on TV doesn’t work if you show a storyline which is totally unrelated to your product.
I just saw an advertisement on TV (Singapore Channel 8 if you want to know) which showed a fantastic CGI packed battle about warriors dressed in black fighting warriors dressed in white. The black warriors created these sharp ice bergs out of mid air and shoot it at the white warriors which are supposed to represent dandruff. I looked away for one second to grab a bite off my spoonful of rice (I was …

Long story short :) I just sent Google through their contact form about a Google T-Shirt.
Here’s the details

Can I have a Google T-Shirt?
Hi Google Friends,
About 5 minutes ago, I just read Seth Godin’s book “Free Prize Inside” page 60 and 61 about how he wore a Google T-Shirt to the greenmarket in New York and about 5 people walked up to him and started a conversation about how much they love Google.
So five minutes later, I thought, I want to wear a Google T-Shirt too since I love Google. Can …

Recent happenings in life made me think for quite a bit about what I’m doing right and wrong in my pursue into fulfilling my bucket list. Let’s start with what I’m wrong about, the juicy part, I’m doing too many things at the same time and working too long.
My average productive hours is about 3 hours, considering that the best in the world usually clock 4 or 5 hours of time which is efficiently used, my 3 hours is pretty good. BUT I work for about 16 hours a …

ReSchedule + Research into 6, 7, 8 and Above Digits Income Earners

I have been testing a regime of workload for months now in which I work continuously for about 14 to 18 hours (morning till 5am) days for almost 7 days a week every week. I have found out that my body breaks down once about every 5 to 7 days of work like this. Time for a reschedule as the priorities are adjusted as the new start up will be launching in April and I need to be at my best, mentality and physically. I have also found a need …

Straits Times Interview With Maynas Eric

Source for original Photo and some words: Straits Times
The Straits Times is the most popular and powerful published paid newspaper in Singapore and it has a circulation of around 400,000 with a reach of more than 1 million. That is almost half the country’s population. It was a privilege to interviewed and featured in one of the main section in the papers. This time, it is about Twitter and how I came about to be the 2nd most followed person in Singapore.
In this blog post, I would like to thank …
